Julius Brookman

Julius Brookman manages a range of family law matters within the firm.  He principally deals with financial matters and the enforcement of judgments, as well as a range of matters with international aspects. 

Julius graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations, subsequently qualifying as a solicitor in 2004.  He has worked for Brookman since 1999, initially whilst qualifying and subsequently as a fully-qualified solicitor.  He has appeared as a solicitor-advocate on domestic violence and non-molestation matters.  He has handled a string of complicated High Court and County Court matters.  Recent cases have included a complex financial matter involving extensive company issues, and a ground-breaking matter regarding the validity of a marriage in connection with change of gender issues. 

Talitha Brookman

Talitha Brookman conducts her own caseload, involving divorce, finances and children matters.  She is the solicitor mainly responsible for dealing with children relocation and abduction matters and foreign property matters. 

Talitha qualified in law at the University of East Anglia in 2003, subsequently completing her training at the College of Law in Guildford.  She qualified as a solicitor in April 2006.  Prior to that time she worked both at this firm for two years and in the course of her training contract in the fields of criminal law, probate and company commercial law.  In the course of her work at Brookman she has unravelled complicated financial cases involving assets abroad, a significant number of relocation cases, child abduction cases and non-molestation orders.

Aziz Malik

Aziz Malik joined the firm in October 2008.  He primarily works as assistant to our Principal, Henry Brookman, although has been steadily developing his own caseload.  He is currently engaged in several complicated matters, one involving concurrent proceedings in Saudi Arabia, and another involving concurrent proceedings in Pakistan.  He is a cheerful and popular member of the team. 

Before qualifying as a solicitor, Aziz worked for many years in law firms in a variety of posts, including accounts management and as a paralegal.  He obtained a law degree from the University of East Anglia, attended the College of Law in Chester, and undertook his training contract in Norwich.  In the course of his training contract he subsequently concentrated on learning the day-to-day business of family law, and as such is an expert on the fine print of the rules and regulations.  He has appeared as an advocate in lower courts.

Roselyn Morales

Roselyn Morales is our office administrator, and has worked at Brookman since September 2000. Roselyn supervises the day-to-day running of the Brookman office to ensure the best service possible. She is responsible for the Office Administration and in particular preparation and monitoring of accounts.

Antoinette Rose-Smith

Antoinette is the Legal Secretary to Talitha Brookman.  Antoinette is also our chief court liaison person (a role known in legal jargon as “Outdoor Clerk”) where her characteristic patience and persistence become particularly valuable qualities.

Antoinette joined Brookman in March 2005.  Prior to joining Brookman, Antoinette worked for a firm of solicitors based in North London as well as undertaking roles in sales and administration prior to her career as a legal secretary.  She is taking a BA degree in Philosophy from the University of North London.

Lorraine Imms

Lorraine provides legal secretarial support to Henry Brookman.

Prior to joining Brookman in September 2007, Lorraine worked as a legal secretary in a number of leading family law firms in London for 7 years.  She is working towards her ILEX (Institute of Legal Executives) qualification and holds a number of secretarial qualifications.

Lorraine has a keen interest in dance, especially street dance, salsa and Latin American.  She also enjoys nights out at the theatre.

Naomi Edwards

Naomi provides legal secretarial support to Aziz Malik.

Naomi joined Brookman in November 2008 and is an experienced legal secretary who has worked in some leading law firms in London since July 1995.  In the early part of her career, she was a secretary in the criminal/mental health department of a law firm before moving into family law in 1999.   

Naomi is currently on maternity leave, which started in January 2010.

Tessa North

Tessa provides secretarial support to Henry Brookman.

Tessa has worked in a number of law firms in New Zealand and London as a legal secretary.  Prior to moving to England, Tessa qualified as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand.  She also has a degree in Sociology and Law from the University of Auckland.

Tessa enjoys going to the theatre and also has a keen interest in music and travel.
