Fees - Our Approach
Brookman is committed to providing competitively priced services for the high quality legal advice we provide. We believe that investment in the right solicitor at the start of a legal process can potentially save you money in the long term, but also give you the greatest chance of gaining the most favourable outcome for your case. It is certainly not uncommon for the outcome of a case to be more favourable for the client that has chosen the more skilled and experienced solicitor.
If you choose to be represented by Brookman Solicitors, we will then work with you in a manner that provides you with the most value from our fees. Some examples of this approach include:
First Interviews: For each new client, we conduct a first interview (by telephone or in person) to allow us to fully understand your position, and to advise you as far as possible on the facts in front of us. It may be that a first interview is all you need at that point. If further work is likely to be needed, we explain the steps and the possible range of costs. We will always try to find the most cost-effective solutions.
Using the breadth of our legal team: your case will always be dealt with by the most appropriate solicitor in relation to the needs of your case. However, if your case includes elements of less complex administration work or legal paperwork, this can be handled by our experienced legal secretaries as a method of reducing the amount of solicitor-based fees associated with your case. Alternatively, should your case become more complex, we also have the depth of experience to utilise the legal expertise from our most experienced solicitors.
Case Management: A key part of our work is to continually monitor the costs being incurred against the outcome. At each stage of the case we try to make a forward estimate and will always advise you whether it is economic to proceed or to accept terms of settlement. If you transfer your case to Brookman from another solicitor, we make every effort to quickly assess the case information gathered to date to reduce any duplicated time.
