Brookman is proud to support the European Doctors Orchestra. When Miklos Pohl, then a Plastic Surgeon at St George’s Hospital in London, first proposed an orchestra which would offer doctor-musicians from all over Europe an opportunity to come together for a weekend of enjoyable music making, Henry Brookman was a founding director. Brookman has continued to support the orchestra ever since.
The orchestra meets twice a year, bringing together talented doctor musicians from across Europe. The orchestra’s winter meeting is in London and the summer meeting rotates between other European cities. The inaugural concert took place in Bucharest, Romania, and since then the orchestra has played in Budapest, Berlin, Verona and Poznan.
The profits have been donated to the Romanian Orphan Charity, to Save The Children, and to Polish and Hungarian Children’s Charities.
