China Divorce & Family Law
International Divorce & Family Law: China
If you are an expatriate living in China then you may find that you fall into a legal vacuum. China may refuse to deal with your matter on the basis you are not a Chinese national. The divorce rate has been going up. Traditionalists in China say this is because of the country’s transformation from a rural to an urban society. In the not so distant past divorce was considered a life-long stigma but now this is less the case. Children issues give rise to particular difficulties as the legal system is not well adjusted to solving these.
We are specialist international divorce lawyers and family solicitors and we have advised numerous clients who are either UK-based but originate from China, or are living outside of the UK but have a connection with England or Wales.
